For those who acquired the newly released LG G4 high-end smartphone, we got some good news for you. The device now holds some support for the advanced Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology. It is some sort of tech which charges 60% of the battery only within 30 minutes.

This might make you a bit skeptical as this one is not even promoted by LG. However, researchers found out that G4 is compatible with the Quick Charge 2.0 and the smartphone’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor is built on the rapid battery charging technology, which recharges the battery faster.

Qualcomm’s official website has listed multiple tones of all essential battery charging features and that includes the LG G4. According to a reliable source, it is confirmed that Qualcomm’s quick charge technology is integrated in the LG G4.

The reports show a real-world test run on the LG G4, in which the battery of the handset recharged by 16% and 25% in 12 and 19 minutes correspondingly.

On the other hand, LG has stated that the Quick Charge 2.0 feature is “not a must-have” for their device, given that it has a removable battery. The South Korean smartphone manufacturer has also confirmed customer units of G4 are built-to-feature Quick Charge 2.0.

Aside from the newly released LG G4, Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology is also built-in on other high-flying and high-end devices such as the HTC One M8 and the second-gen Moto X 2014.

Did you know that in 15 minutes, the Quick Charge 2.0 reportedly charges a smartphone’s battery that could run for up to eight hours? If not, then this is a newly acquired knowledge from this site.

On the other end, Taiwan-based HTC last year released the “Rapid Charger 2.0” that charges the battery of select HTC smartphones, around 40% faster. M8, E8, Remix, Desire Eye, and M8 Harman Kardon edition, are among the HTC smartphones that are compatible with the Rapid Charger 2.0.

While many phones are into rapid charging technology, still there’s no clue if when the manufacturers will start to adhere on a better and very much improved battery life and performance. And while waiting for that time to come, we believe that USB portable chargers can be of the best assistance for those who are always on the go.
